With the rapid growth in data traffic in the coming years which is not expected to ease, there is a real motivation for carriers to push an ever increasing number of end points in the network to stretch the bandwidth available to the end user. This includes a shift from macro deployments to a heterogeneous network of macro, DA and small cells; along with an aggressive in-building expansion.

Scarlet Wireless has extensive experience in indoor and outdoor DAS implementations, and is working with major vendors on their small cell developments. Scarlet Wireless utilizes iBWave certified engineers for indoor design.

DRIVE TESTING

Monitoring the quality of the network, and collecting data during site commissioning, or new technology implementation such as LTE and VoLTE, demands that a carrier have people on the ground gathering data of the network, where the customer will be. This is accomplished through drive testing and walk testing for indoor network deployments.

Providing our customers with a readily deployable and cost efficient means of gathering network data has been a core competency of Scarlet Wireless since our inception. We have the data collection assets available to quickly scale to your project, no matter the size. We have experience in both drive testing outdoor networks as well as collecting indoor network data through walk testing. We have the tools and the experience to meet your needs.


OPTIMIZATION

PRE-LAUNCH

Turning on a new site has an immediate impact on customer perception of your network’s performance. To ensure that perception is positive, we can benchmark and optimize the performance of sites prior to commercial launch.

POST-LAUNCH

Expansion in a network due to coverage, traffic growth or new feature introduction will impact the performance of the entire market. We use drive test data and network statistics to optimize cluster and market performance to improve overall market KPIs.

Air-interface data collection using tools like TEMS is essential to collect RF performance data for both outdoor and indoor environments. Data can be collected and post processed in both an onshore and offshore model to meet client’s needs and budgets. Scarlet Wireless has experience in the post processing of the drive testing data to aid in the optimization of the network. We utilize experienced RF engineers to analyze this data and recommend physical network changes as well as parameter changes to meet required KPIs and get the most out of your network investment.
